Roslyn Joy Ricci Makes The Grade With Stanford Who's Who
Roslyn Joy Ricci has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her remarkable professional career.
DERNANCOURT, SA, AUSTRALIA, July 31, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Roslyn Joy Ricci has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her remarkable professional career. As a Councillor for the City of Tea Tree Gully, as well as throughout her brilliant career, Roslyn has routinely displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
In addition to her position as Councillor, Roslyn is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Asian Studies at the University of Adelaide. She also serves as a Justice of the Peace for South Australia. Roslyn is the author of two books entitled, Classical Chinese Poetry Re-created in English and Romancing the Chinese Characters in Classical Chinese Poetry. Her PhD Thesis is entitled, A Psychobiography of Lin Yutang. Roslyn has 30 years of experience as a Primary Teacher as well.
Roslyn's teaching career was based on passion and long hours of preparation and her coaching career was an extension of this passion trying to inspire each and every student under her tutelage to achieve their best in diverse areas of their lives. Her second career as an Elected Member for Water Gully Ward of the City of Tea Tree Gully is her effort to contribute back to her local community.
During her earlier collegiate career, Roslyn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Studies, an Honors degree in English and Chinese Studies, and a Master's degree in Classical Chinese Poetry from the University of Adelaide. She is past President of the Multi-faith Association of South Australia. Roslyn is also a Catechist for St Pius X Church, University of Adelaide Archives volunteer, SAPOL volunteer, and an Adelaide City Council volunteer.
Roslyn was the recipient of a Centenary Medal of Australia in 2003 for community service which was the highlight of her personal life. Watching her students achieve their potential academically, in chosen careers and in sport or music continues to provide her with proud moments. In addition, seeing improvements occur within her local government ward provides Roslyn with ongoing reward for her efforts for the residents of Water Gully Ward.
