EAST MEADOW, NY, May 12, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Carole Bergman has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her spectacular professional career. As a Poet, Writer and Artist for the past 50 years, Carole has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Born legally blind, Carole learned to see with her soul at a young age as her father's family taught her the magic of words as well as the beauty of creation. She is an incredibly talented writer and artist who has taught poetry and Japanese Brush painting in the local schools and at Hofstra's Continuing Education Program.
The Lion's Eye Bank gives one of Carole's poems to everyone who donates a cornea and two of her works have been auctioned at the World Trade Center to benefit the victims of the September 11th tragedy. In 2010, she was selected to share her work at LIWG Reads. The Long Island Writers' Guild's reading series is presented to the public showcasing the talents of select Guild members in various genres of writing including prose, poetry, memoir and journalism.
