Since its inception just eight years ago, Simply Asia has expanded at lightning speed.
Established in October 2003 by its founders Chai Lekcharoensuk and Fred Shaw, the company's alternative fast food concept has developed considerably. Chai Lekcharoensuk opened the first Simply Asia store on Heritage Square in Cape Town and within five years the Simply Asia Group grew to encompass 20 stores across the Western Cape and Johannesburg. Today, Simply Asia has 25 stores nationwide and plans to open nine more by the end of 2011. The company also has imminent plans for expansion further afield.
However, Simply Asia is determined that its rapid expansion will not mean the quality of its food and service is compromised.
