Patty Fayerweather Harlow, Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Accomplishments in Creative Writing

Patty Fayerweather Harlow, Published Author and Poet

Binghamton, NY, April 13, 2010 /Publishing and Books PR News/ --Patty Fayerweather Harlow, Published Author and Poet, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in fction, nonfiction and poetry writing.

A creative spirit from an early age, Patty Fayerweather Harlow traces her love of writing back to the eighth grade. Following a car accident that left her in a coma, she had to relearn how to walk and courageously pursued a college education despite her minor memory loss. It was at Broome Community College that Ms. Harlow re-discovered writing and excelled in all modes of written expression.

An activist as well as a writer, she uses her stories to turn her readers' attention to political issues and raise environmental awareness. Her series, Rock with Rodney and Party with Perky to Preserve Wildlife, is a perfect example of her signature style: fun fictional children's characters help teach adolescents about the serious environmental issues we face today. Ms. Harlow received an associate degree in marketing from Broome Community College in 1990 and a certification in children's literature from the Institute of Children's Literature, in 1993. In 2008, Ms. Harlow was named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Creative Writing. She has over 17 years of experienced as a published writer. Active within her community, Ms. Harlow served as the Jr. Vice President for the ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 478.
