Capstone Publishers Names Paul Von Drasek as New Book Trade Sales Manager
Capstone Publishers, the leading publisher of children's books in the U.S. education market, announces that Paul Von Drasek has joined the company in the newly created position of Book Trade Sales Manager.
MANKATO, MN, November 26, 2009 /Publishing and Books PR News/ -- Capstone Publishers, the leading publisher of children's books in the U.S. education market, announces that Paul Von Drasek has joined the company in the newly created position of Book Trade Sales Manager. Von Drasek brings more than 25 years of sales experience in publishing to his new role, and will lead Capstone Publishers' expansion into the retail market.
"I'm excited to join Capstone Publishers and to work with its trade commission groups and key accounts to increase Capstone's presence and visibility in the retail market." said Von Drasek. "Capstone's knowledge of kids' interests, and its ability to support those interests at a variety of reading levels, provides retailers with books for a number of overlooked readers."
Prior to joining Capstone Publishers, Von Drasek served as Director of Field Sales at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Trade, where he worked on the integration of the Houghton Mifflin and Harcourt's field sales forces selling both adult and children's trade books. Previously, he served as Executive Director of Sales at Harcourt and in sales management positions at Little Brown, Houghton Mifflin, and Penguin.
Von Drasek has served for years as a board member of Curbstone Press, Inc., a non-profit publisher of literature and nonfiction based in Willimantic, Conn. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
