Richard A. Malta writes poetry and short stories
FREEPORT, NY, July 31, 2009 /Publishing and Books PR News/ -- Richard A. Malta, Author and Freelance Writer, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in writing.
As an author and freelance writer, Mr. Malta has written articles for Newsday as well as poetry and short stories. Prior to becoming an independent author, he worked for the Nassau County Department of Social Services. Writing began as a hobby for Mr. Malta, who will publish his first mystery novel entitled "Evangelist Caper" in the fall of 2009. He has cerebral palsy and visits colleges to speak publicly and work with pathologists about speech impairments. He attributes his success to his faith in God, his desire to achieve and help others, and to the support he receives from his friends and family, especially his loving wife Alice.
A graduate of Hofstra University, Mr. Malta received his Master of Science in Education in 1983 and his Bachelor of Arts in English in 1969. He intends to write more books.
