Students in Atlantic Christian School's Digital Publishing Class got a glimpse of the publishing world when they recently toured the area's largest printer
EGG HARBOR TWP, NJ, June 07, 2009 /Publishing and Books PR News/ -- Students in Atlantic Christian School's Digital Publishing Class got a glimpse of the publishing world when they recently toured the areaÕs largest printer, Print Art, Inc. The students, in grades 9-12 at the Egg Harbor Township private school, were able to see first-hand how printed pieces went from conception to completion.

ÒWe see printed materials everywhere but not a lot of people are aware of the professional skills needed to produce them,Ó said Carole Karabashian of Ventnor, the class instructor. ÒOur students have been working to create their own pieces and had a real appreciation for the state-of-the art equipment and processes that they saw at Print Art, Inc.Ó

ÒWeÕre always pleased to open our doors to groups in the community,Ó said Carl Blase, CEO, Print Art, Inc. He personally met with the students to give them an overview of the company. ÒWe were able to lay out the operation exactly as we wanted to, so that jobs flowed from one section to the next in a line. It has made such a difference in our efficiency and output. We were always considered a mid-size printer, but now with the new presses, weÕre in a whole different league.Ó

ÒPrinting is a wonderful combination of all that the students have been learning throughout their educational experience,Ó said Karabashian. ÒIt incorporates English, mathematics, art and the students clearly saw that today.Ó
